Clearly Cloud: October Updates

Corey McFadden

We’ve got some big news this month! The ClearlyIP engineering team has really been making things happen and we’re proud to announce that the latest update includes some important new features and delivers more stability and bug fixes.

New Additions

Single Sign On (SSO) Support

A highly requested feature, Call Panel users can now be authenticated through your organization’s Single Sign On service provider. Supported providers include Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Kerberos, and other SAML-based providers such as OneLogin, Okta, Centrify, SecureAuth, IBM Security Verify, Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS), and many more…

This optional integration will be turned on across Clearly Cloud shortly and we’ll be announcing all the details you’ll need to get started, including a webinar, very soon.

Call Panel Screen Pops

Another top feature request was to allow screen pops into any web-based CRM or service platform supporting URL integrations. Calls from queues and ring groups for users working in Call Panel can now receive a screen pop when ringing or connected (depending on your configuration).

Many CRM systems and other applications that accept lookup parameters via URL can be configured to “pop” when a user receives a call, launching another tab containing the application of your choice. We’ll automatically populate the values you configure to look up using phone number, CallerID, queue name, agent extension, and much more.

Notable Improvements

  • Follow-Me can now be configured by Call Panel users to use a Time Condition to specify the hours a follow-me will be active, so you can choose (as an example) to only have it apply to calls during business hours.
  • Call Blocking – The feature codes to block callers now work in Call Panel and users can block the last caller’s number using (by default) *32 to block the last caller, *30 to block a specific number, or *31 to remove a specific number from the block list. (These codes can be changed)
  • Call Panel users can now see which DIDs are routed to their extension.
  • Ring Groups now allow management of ring strategies including sequential hunt, hunt with memory, or ringall.
