Gaetz brings nearly a decade of experience from Sangoma Technologies, where he significantly contributed to the FreePBX project, an open-source telephony platform.
Gaetz’s journey in open-source telephony began nearly twenty years ago when he first deployed a FreePBX phone system. His passion for coding and system improvements led to numerous contributions within the open-source community, from active forum participation and code contributions to delivering presentations at trade shows and webinars. His involvement and recognition in the community underscore his commitment to innovation and collaboration.
In addition to his professional achievements, Gaetz holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Dalhousie University and has previously worked as a professional engineer in the construction industry. This diverse background enhances his ability to lead and innovate in his new role at ClearlyIP.
